Thought you might like to see my Koa project. Closed it up today. Still needs sanding and such. Enjoy!

Nice work Doug

I love koa but I figure to get more experiance before I lay down the money for a nice set of koa. What kind of finish are you going to use on it?

YUP!! She's lookin' mighty fine Doug. Is this the one that you will put the Sperzel's on? I got them today so your Black with Pearliod buttons will be on the way to you soon. I wish I could get as much done as you! I still haven't got my back braced....

Zac, I am really considering a French Polish. If not I will probably go with KTM 9. But, right now I'm busy carving the Laminated neck. It's made of Koa with a BWB, Maple, BRW, Maple, BWB laminate. I'm waiting on an appointment package of BRW from Jeff at Brazil Tonewoods so I can start the headplate, bindings, fret board, bridge, etc.

Shane. Yep this is the one. Those Sperzel's should look great with the BRW appointments. Can't wait to see them. What a deal that was. Thanks Man!

Doug, I really like that! Very inspiring for me as I plan to do a Koa/Cedar for #4. I already have 2 sets of koa waiting. I figure by then I'll be better at building. Good luck!

Thanks everyone. I appreciate the kindness.
Lance: I almost didn't recognise you with that new logo. Nice. All the appointments will be BRW. I got a BRW package from Jeff at Brazil Tonewoods. (In the mail)
Hesh & Wade: Yes it is from the SJ plans I got here and the bender and mold I got from John at Blues Creek.
Tracy: Once upon a time this had a Bearclaw Cedar top, but I had used a bad batch of LMI White glue to bond the halves together and they split apart after I had the abalone inlaid. Wasen't much I could do. The Kerfing all fell off or starting buzzing after using this glue also. All around bad experience. These things happen.
Thanks again everyone.
